Stress Reduction Rules

Once upon a time, there was a very famous economist who
taught at a large university. On the desk in his office, was
a large crystal ball with a big crack in it.

When a colleague or a student would come into his office for
the first time, they almost always would ask him about the
crystal ball.

The professor would always answer, “I keep the cracked
crystal ball on my desk to remind myself not to take myself
or my predictions too seriously.”

THE TWO RULES OF STRESS REDUCTION:

#1. DON’T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF.

#2. REALIZE THAT IT’S ALL SMALL STUFF.
